Creating a good hummus is ideal for when you’re hosting and even just to snack on with veg or bread. We like mixing different ingredients into hummus like red pepper or smoky sweet potato but knowing how to make the ol’classic hummus is a must!
Here’s what you’ll need:
- Cooked Chickpeas
- Tahini
- Lemon Juice
- Garlic
- Water
- Sea Salt (We like to use Cornish Sea Salt)
Once you have gathered all your ingredients together you can make your recipe swiftly. Just add the chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice, olive oil, water, garlic and salt to a blender. Keep blending at high-speed until the consistency is nice and smooth. As you blend, add more water until you reach the desired consistency.
Once the blending is complete, your hummus is ready!
If we’re hosting we like to put a charcuterie style board together with different kind of breads and pitas, sliced vegetables, like carrot, cucumber & celery, and crackers, tortilla chips and pretzels.
