Top Three Father’s Day Ideas

Father’s day is fast approaching and we at Wild Cornwall can’t think of a better excuse to spend some quality time with the men in our lives.

Here are our top three ways to show some love to whoever fixes your bike.

1.Take a foraging walk in the countryside

There is something about taking a walk together, side by side sharing a task together which can often get the lines of communication flowing more freely than an intense eye to eye encounters. If you would like to nurture more intimate dialogue with your Father figure then perhaps taking a stroll in nature is the perfect place to start. At this time of year the hedgerows are bursting with elderflower, marsh samphire is at its most delicious and tender stems of arsesmart (water pepper) are sprouting by alongside waterways. This is an incredible time of year to stride out basket in hand and catch some rays with your Dad.

2. A Wild Cornwall Father’s Day Hamper

Impress the gentleman in your life with this unique range of wild, hand-made treats. From a warming cup of seasonal tea to the alcoholic ingredients for a spicy Bloody Mary and even a nourishing beard oil; this gift set is perfectly placed to be enjoyed at home or in the man cave!

This gift set is crowned by its decadent centre piece, a double chocolate brownie cake peppered with hazelnuts to evoke the Cornish woodland; and in case that wasn’t enough we’ve included a box of our best-selling chestnut truffles and a Rosemary Plant to kickstart your herb collection, or to add to it!

3. Sharing a meal

Cooking a meal for your Dad and eating together as a family is often the best gift you can give. Quality family time can be hard to come by these days, and planning, preparing and cooking a meal from scratch is a touching demonstration of love.
